AIK v GAIS (Allsvenskan)

AIK were very convincing during their 4-1 demolition of Örebro and underlined the fact they are serious contenders for the title. Örlund has won his place back in goals and will be very reluctant to give it up. In defence, Markus Jonsson could return to the squad, but is unlikely to start. Therefore, Bengtsson and Patrik Karlsson will continue in the full back positions, with the impressive Johansson and Per Karlsson in the middle. Dulee Johnson and Ortiz are currently the first choice partnership in the midfield, with the former playing particularly well of late. Pavey is unlikely to recover from injury in time, so Anchen is likely to continue on the right wing. Stephenson flattered to deceive against Örebro and either Tjernström or Mendes will replace him. Up front, both Obolo and Burgic were on target against Örebro and they will once again pair up. After finding goals hard to come by, the four scored last time came as a welcome relief. AIK will expect to take all three points against a stubborn GAIS outfit and can afford no slip ups as they try to chase down leaders Kalmar.

GAIS were unlucky to lose by a single goal in Helsingsborg and will feel they deserved more from the game. Dime Jankulovski will again be in goals, as he continues to enjoy an excellent season. Lunden missed the Helsingborgs match, but should be fit enough to return to the team for the trip to Stockholm. In defence, Friberg Da Cruz and Tobiasson should form the centre half pertnership, while Durmaz will take up his normal left back position. Despite changing to a 4-4-2 formation last time out, coach Magnus Pehrsson will probably revert back to his favoured 4-5-1 for this game. That means Hedinsson, Lundgren and Wanderson will play through the middle of the park, with Pachajyan on the right hand side. Nicklasson has been playing on the left, but Andersson could come in to replace him. Up front, Reis is consolidating his place as first choice striker, although injuries to Suma, Christoforidis and Memelli have certainly helped his cause. GAIS have prided themselves on their excellent defensive record this season and will look to shut out AIK and take at least a point from what is a traditionally a tough away day.

In their last 5 meetings, AIK recorded 1W-4D-0L. BF Index recorded on EC2WIN.com at 11:00 on Sunday is 46/25/29, indicates most monies are betted on the Home Win. But, it is just over a small margin. According to the historical data in this season, AIK recorded 2W-1D-0L when the BF Index was 40-70 at Home. Kelly Index 0.02/0.11/1.16 indicates major bookmakers rate the Home Win is the most likely result and rule out the chance on the Away Win. So, bet on the Home Team in the Asian Handicap Market would be a good choice.

Pick: AIK (-0.75)
