Orebro v AIK (Allsvenskan)Örebro were poor during the first half of the season and find themselves hovering just above the relegation places as the season gets underway once more. It is not difficult to see where the problem lies, Örebro have only scored four goals in eleven games to date. For this game, new signing John Alvbåge is poised to make his debut in goals, with Ze Ndille joining Wikström in the centre of defence. The pacy Wowoah will operate on the right, but the impressive Haginge has joined Djurgården. Joakin Gren will replace the departed full back. Captain Nordback will operate as the holding midfielder and much more is expected of the Finn. Kihlberg will join him in the middle of the park and Gerzic has been declared fit after passing a late fitness test. Up front, Porokara is an automatic pick, although none of the strikers could be deemed prolific. New signing Olsen is likely to take one of the other attacking positions, with Näfver completing the trio, as Rodevåg has been ruled out through injury. Halilovic has flown back to his native Bosnia and it is unclear when he will return. Staaf could play a part at some point, having signed from Ramlösa. Örebro need to find some form quickly, otherwise relegation could become a very real possibility. In AIK they face a side high on confidence and will therefore be happy to gain anything from this game.
After a fine set of results, AIK sit in third place in the table and should have some kind of say in where there title ends up come the end of the season. With a large squad, they have a number of replacements to come in for injured players and the Stockholm side now look a dangerous outfit. Bergh was the first choice goalkeeper before the break, but Örlund should return to the side for this game. Jonsson has failed to recover from injury and, with Pavey also out, Atta will come in at right back. He will be joined by Johansson, Per Karlsson and Patrik Karlsson. In the midfield, Dulee Johnson is fast becoming an automatic pick, with Ortiz likely to join him. Out wide, both Pavey and Djordjic have failed fitness tests, so it is likely that Anchen will play on the right. Mendes has played well since moving to the left wing and adds an extra attacking threat from out wide, although club captain Tjernström could replace him now he has returned to full fitness. AIK have struggled in front of goal this season and Norling is yet to decide upon a settled front pairing. Valdermarin appears to on his way back to South America and may not even feature in this game. Should this be the case, Obolo will start, with young Burgic likely to join him. AIK will travel to Örebro full of confidence and will expect to beat their lowly opponents comfortably. In their last 4 meetings, Orebro recorded 2W-1D-1L.BF Index recorded on EC2WIN.com at 12:00 on Thursday, July 3, 2008 is 18/23/59, indicates most monies are betted on the Away Win.
